Advanced Business Activity Monitoring for Healthcare Organizations
Plexis Alerts’ enhanced business activity monitoring (BAM) technology enables Plexis clients to identify and respond to business issues, enterprise-wide, by automatically sending alerts or notifications according to pre-defined means, when user-specified events related to an operational management function (e.g., claims, premium, capitation, etc.) occurs. Plexis Alerts notifies clients of important issues such as impending changes in client age, past due accounts and claims billed at over a predetermined amount. It also monitors IT functions alerting appropriate personnel of computer server problems and many other issues.
Flexible, Intelligent Alerts
Alerts and notifications are automatically relayed via a variety of media choices depending on your pre-defined instructions. For example, the system can automatically send an e-mail to an individual(s) or distribution list(s). It can be programmed to launch/generate reports or letters alerting members of important changes in benefits, status or other critical information. Plexis Alerts can also send automatic alerts/notifications to a cell phone, pager or PDA. To improve IT workflow, Plexis Alerts can call/execute another computer program or code that automatically executes additional necessary functions.
Reporting – Standard & Exception
Plexis Alerts generates reports on any schedule required and delivers them via email, fax, FTP, and web portal. Flexible “Exception Reporting” generates reports only when certain business conditions appear. For example, a Crystal Report may be automatically output, documented and delivered as a letter notifying a member of an impending change of benefits.
Cross-application Efficiency
Plexis Alerts increases efficiency and accuracy by providing enterprise-wide, cross-application analysis, alerts, and response regardless of the application, from whom they originate, or the databases used.
Incoming Email Management
Plexis Alerts ensures that valuable data is identified, captured, and acted upon in a timely manner. An integrated “Email Response System” monitors unlimited email accounts for incoming messages. Messages are scanned to identify sender and priority, then “matched” with your database to determine appropriate response.
The Plexis Alerts Wizard
Plexis Alerts is designed with the user in mind and provides a simple wizard-driven interface that enables clients to easily configure their own events. Examples of user-defined alert events include:
- A member is within 30 days of turning 65
- Any client account is beyond 60 days past due…
- A network server is having an issue…
Plexis Alerts also includes optional Advanced Event Design features enabling technicians to extend Plexis Alerts’ native functionality to address sophisticated, site-specific requirements.
Ready-to-Use Events
Although the Plexis Alerts Wizard lets you easily create your own events, Plexis Alerts includes pre-packaged event packs for use with products such as the Microsoft MBS products, Sage Software products and many others so you can be up-and-running with Plexis Alerts in just a couple of hours.
