Eligible employees at Plexis are offered a wide range of benefits in addition to a number of programs required by applicable law (such as Social Security, workers’ compensation, disability, and unemployment insurance).
Benefits eligibility is dependent upon a variety of factors, including employee classification. Employees may ask their supervisor to identify the programs for which they are eligible. Details of many of these programs can be found in the employee handbook or are available from the Administrative Services department. The following alphabetical list of benefit programs is currently available to eligible employees:

Some benefit programs require contributions from employees; others are fully paid by Plexis.
The vacation leave accrual rate for employees regularly assigned to work 40 hours per week is 120 hours (15 days) per year. Vacation leave may be accrued up to a maximum of 136 hours (17 days). When the 136-hour maximum is reached, additional vacation leave will not accrue until such time as the vacation leave balance falls below 136 hours. Current “used/available” vacation hours are listed on each pay stub.
The sick leave accrual rate for employees regularly assigned to work 40 hours per week is 48 hours (6 days) per year. Sick leave may be accrued up to a maximum of 96 hours (12 days). When the 96-hour maximum is reached, sick leave will not accrue until such time as the sick leave balance falls below 96 hours. Current “used/available” sick hours are listed on each pay stub.
Plexis offers company sponsored medical, dental, prescription, and vision insurance plans. In addition, employees can chose to participate in an optional Cafeteria Plan (Section 125 – Reimbursement Account) and an optional SIMPLE IRA.
Coverage for eligible employees, those who work at least 32 hours per week, will begin on the first of the month following completion of the 45-day period. Please refer to your Summary Plan of Benefits available from the HR Department. Plan benefits and eligibility requirements may be changed or modified during annual plan renewal.
Plexis pays 80% of the monthly premium for eligible employees and their immediate family members (spouse and children). The employee is responsible for paying 20% of the monthly premium costs. The 20% monthly premium is paid through payroll deductions from pre-tax dollars.
Plexis has a membership at several local fitness clubs. These fitness clubs offers reduced monthly fees to Plexis employees. To provide an incentive to participate in fitness activities and to help reduce the monthly membership costs, Plexis also pays a $7.50 per pay period fitness benefit to eligible employees who provide proof of membership to a fitness club or program.
An annual floating holiday is available to employees after their first year of service. No more than one floating holiday can be accrued and used per employee service year. The HR department will maintain records of employees’ floating holiday eligibility and usage .
Plexis has a Cafeteria Plan available for eligible employees. The Cafeteria Plan allows employees to submit pre-tax earnings (through payroll deductions) into a fund for un-reimbursed medical expenses and childcare costs.
Plexis offers eligible employees the opportunity to participate in a SIMPLE IRA plan. Through payroll deductions, eligible employees may contribution up to the maximum amount allowed annually by Federal Tax Law. The Plexis matching contribution may vary from year to year. Employees have several options for investing funds.
