New Upgraded PCM Expands Capitation Processing and Includes New Institutional (UBO4) Form and HCFA Professional Form with National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Ashland, OR - February 26, 2007 - Plexis Healthcare Systems announced the release of Plexis Claims Manager (PCM) Version 7.1. The new upgraded version provides enhanced capitation processing capabilities and incorporates new Institutional and Professional claim forms in advance of the CMS mandate for a National Provider Identifier (NPI).
Plexis Claim Manager's new electronic Institutional (UBO4) Form and HCFA Professional Form were developed in accordance with CMS directives, with continued support for the existing UB-92. These new forms were delivered to Plexis clients in February 2007, in advance of the CMS May 23, 2007 deadline for the Institutional (UBO4).
The new HCFA Professional Form and Institutional (04) Form incorporate the National Provider Identifier (NPI), and the Institutional (04) also includes several new fields. Plexis EDIWorks will support the electronic transfer of these new forms, allowing for a seamless transfer to the new electronic claim forms.
Plexis Claims Manager 7.1 also includes upgraded capitation processing. The new version's enhanced capitation functionality supports multiple cap rates by line of business, additional support for consistency in capitated (A/R) and sub-capitated (A/P) data validation for each member, expansion in user-configurability of retroactive capitation adjustment processing, and more.
"The Plexis team is constantly working to enhance our software products to meet the needs of the market, comply with government mandates and improve our client's productivity," said Jorge Yant, Plexis CEO. "Plexis Claims Manager has grown to become a powerful solution for cutting administrative costs and succeeding in an increasingly competitive environment," said Yant.
