Plexis Releases Major Enhancements to Claims Manager

.Net improvements meet HIPAA translation requirements and increase system reliability and performance

Ashland, Oregon - January 8, 2004 - Plexis Healthcare Systems, Inc. announced today that it has released major enhancements to its Claims Manager System. Using Microsoft® .Net development tools, Plexis engineers have completely redesigned the company’s EDIworks to meet HIPAA translation requirements for transmitting protected health data. Microsoft’s .Net software connects information, people, systems, and devices and provides faster customization and installation of software solutions.

The adoption of the .Net tools will allow Plexis engineers to respond rapidly to evolving healthcare information technology changes and help our Plexis clients remain current with market needs. Already one of the most powerful claims processing software solutions in the marketplace, these new enhancements make the Plexis Claims Manager even more effective in offering payers, benefit administrators and health plans the functionality to process accurate and automatic claims adjudication, referral authorizations, benefit administration, and contract management.

The new .Net enhancements improve system stability and speed operational performance. .Net tools distribute work flow better on a large application, which makes the Claims Manager much more scalable. The enhanced software also simplifies installation of the product, which is already the easiest in the industry to deploy. In addition to the EDIworks portion of Plexis Claims Manager, the entire Plexis claims processing platform is being re-factored using .Net development tools in 2004.

Plexis Healthcare Systems’ CEO and President, Jorge Yant said, “The functionality of our Claims Manager software is under constant review by our development staff. They continually seek new ways to make our superior product even better. The .Net development tools keep us current with Microsoft technology and improve our engineers’ ability to enhance our capabilities. Our system enhancements are always a combination of the efforts of our development team’s research and input from our client base.”
