Administration of Seafarer′s Health & Benefits Plan

Ashland, OR - June 22, 2007 - Seafarer′s International Union (SIU), the largest North American union representing merchant mariners, selected Plexis to provide benefits administration, electronic data interchange (EDI), web portal and scanning/OCR solution for Seafarer′s Health and Benefits Plan.

The Seafarers International Union, Atlantic, Gulf, Lakes and Inland Waters District, is based in southern Maryland and represents unlicensed United States merchant mariners sailing aboard U.S.-flag vessels in the deep sea, Great Lakes and inland trades. Today, the SIU is the largest North American union representing merchant mariners.

Seafarer′s selected Plexis Claims Manager to provide core claim processing and benefit administration functionality, Plexis EDIWorks for HIPAA-ready electronic data interchange, and Plexis WEBWorks for their front end web portal. In addition, Plexis will provide scanning/OCR capabilities to boost efficiency automate workflows and facilitate data sharing with partners.
