The New Standard of Agile, Rapidly Deployable,
Cost-saving Benefit Management Technology is Here
Quantum Choice combines a user-configurable rules-based processing engine, .NET platform and distributed architecture to deliver a powerful new benefits management solution. Its state-of-the-art technology and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) platform optimize your current business processes and allows for seamless integration with web-based tools; flexible design and user-configurable rules make it easy to add new products.
Scalable to Grow with Your Business
Quantum Choice system architecture is designed to allow virtually unlimited scalability as your business expands or processing volume increases. The distributed nature of our Dispatcher, System Scheduler and Processing Engines allows the system to be configured across several servers to separate the database from the system processes if desired. Specifically the key, resource-hungry processes such as claim adjudication may be spread across a Redundant Array of Inexpensive Servers (RAIS) so that as you process more and more claims, you simply add more processing servers to maintain your desired performance level. The Quantum Choice dispatcher service will automatically select the server with the most work capacity, balancing the load across the RAIS system.
Internal AP/AR Accounting System
Quantum Choice includes a flexible accounting and finance component that allows users to generate and post transactions created by the internal system processes such as claims and billing. The system supports a variety of transaction types, including claims payment, premium billing, capitation and various fees that may be manually or automatically generated. Checks may be printed, receipts posted and applied and more; in short, you have the financial functionality to follow through and finish the job you started.
Enterprise Administration
At Plexis Healthcare Systems, we want our customers to get the most possible benefits from Quantum Choice, so we’ve moved as much of the system administration and support functionality as possible out to the point of use. The Enterprise Administration component allows designated users to create custom “Additional Information” requirements to capture unique data elements and edit the contents of system tables to customize the appearance of user selectable data. User configurable “Criteria” may be created using a powerful logical expression builder based on data elements that are linked to the core processes such as claims processing and billing. These criteria allow for conditional rules to be applied to many aspects of system processing, rules such as “if gender = male and age>45 years” or “if provider is In Network and specialty = Cardiology.” A wide array of global configuration options are available that will allow your system to be locally customized without having to gain access to source code from Plexis and, in many cases, without even having to reach out to your own internal technical staff. The Enterprise Administration component puts all of this at the fingertips of designated system users through the user interface itself.
Multilevel, Role-based Security
Quantum Choice security settings allow your designated personnel to tailor a detailed security configuration, tightly controlling access to data at the Form level, Field level, Group data level and even Individual member data. Interacting with Windows Active Directory, roles may be assigned permission to edit data, view data as read only, or not have access to it at all. Governing the standard forms in the application as well as Notes and Reports, this function is vital to ensuring the privacy of healthcare information, especially for self-administered groups.
Workflow Automation
Workflow automation in Quantum Choice is applied to all of the major processes, as well as reporting and correspondence, allowing clients to configure and schedule the system activities to be performed with as much or as little automation as they desire. For example, when in full-auto configuration, Quantum Choice can adjudicate claims, create and post accounting transactions to the internal chart of accounts, process those transactions into payments to the designated Vendors and route the check print job to the printer. There are available review periods and manual intervention options all along the way to allow for any desired review at any step. Correspondence may also be automatically triggered from virtually any data field, such as the expiration date of a provider’s credentialing or the age of a member, making the automation of letters such as Student Status Verification Request possible.
